Terms of Service
Last updated 15 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Leviticks when you use our website and apps to discover events, buy, resell or transfer tickets, host events or check guests in. By creating an account or buying a ticket, you agree to them.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data.
About these terms
Leviticks is a marketplace and set of tools. Organizers create and run events and sell tickets to them; Leviticks provides the platform that lists events, takes payments through our payment provider, issues tickets and handles check-in. The organizer of an event, not Leviticks, is responsible for the event itself - including whether it goes ahead, what happens there, and its refund policy.
Your account
- You must give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- You must confirm your email address before you can buy tickets, create events, list tickets for resale or send invitations.
- You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity on your account. We recommend turning on two-factor sign-in. Tell us straight away at support@leviticks.com if you think someone else has accessed your account.
- You can check out as a guest without an account; these terms still apply to that purchase.
Buying tickets
- Prices, fees and the total you pay are shown before you pay. Payments are processed by Paystack, and your order is confirmed only once the payment succeeds.
- Each ticket has a unique QR code and can be used to enter once. Keep it private - anyone who presents your QR code first may be let in, and a ticket that has been scanned cannot be used again.
- A ticket gives you entry to the event on the organizer's terms. Organizers may refuse entry, for example if a ticket is invalid or has already been used, or under their own conditions of entry.
- Tickets bought anywhere other than Leviticks, or through resale outside Leviticks, may not be valid and we cannot help with them.
Refunds and cancellations
- Each organizer sets the refund policy for their event, shown on the event page. Requests for a refund go to the organizer, who decides them under that policy.
- If an event is cancelled, the organizer is responsible for refunding ticket holders under their cancellation policy. Any resale listings for a cancelled event are withdrawn.
- If an event is postponed or changed significantly, the organizer will tell you what your options are. We may pass on updates from organizers by email or in the app.
- Leviticks fees may not be refundable, except where the law requires it or we tell you otherwise.
Ticket resale and transfers
- You may resell a ticket on Leviticks only if the organizer has turned resale on for that event or ticket type. The organizer sets the highest price a ticket can be resold for and when resale closes.
- When your ticket sells, the buyer gets a valid ticket and your original ticket stops working. A resale fee is taken from the sale price, and the rest is paid to the bank account you add. The fee is shown before you list.
- You must not sell or advertise Leviticks tickets for resale anywhere that breaks an organizer's rules.
- You can send a ticket you own to someone else using ticket transfer. Once transferred, it belongs to them.
Organizers
If you create events on Leviticks, you also agree that:
- You are responsible for your events - their accuracy, safety, licences and permits, and delivering what you sell.
- You will publish a clear refund policy and honour it, and refund ticket holders if you cancel an event.
- You will use attendees' and guests' personal data only to run your event and communicate about it, in line with the law, and you have the right to share any guest list you upload.
- You are responsible for anyone you add to your team, such as ticket scanners and managers, and for co-hosts you invite.
- You are responsible for any taxes on your ticket sales and payouts.
Fees and payouts
- We charge a platform fee on paid tickets, and payment processing fees apply. The fees for your event are shown in your organizer settings before you sell, and you choose whether you or your buyers pay the payment processing fee.
- To receive payouts, you must add a bank account and verify your identity. Payouts are made through Paystack to the bank account you add.
- We may delay, hold or reverse payouts where we reasonably suspect fraud, where an event is cancelled or disputed, where payments are charged back, or where the law requires us to.
Private events and invite units
- Private events are invitation-only. They don't appear in search, and their pages open only for the host, co-hosts and invited guests.
- Sending invitations and messages to guests uses invite units, which you buy in advance. The cost of each invitation is shown before you send. Units are not refunded for messages that were delivered; units for invitations that fail to send are returned to your balance.
- Invite units have no cash value and cannot be transferred, exchanged or withdrawn.
- You must only invite people you have the right to contact, and must not use invitations to send spam or unrelated marketing.
Acceptable use
You must not use Leviticks to:
- list fake, misleading or illegal events, or events you have no right to sell tickets for;
- sell, buy or resell tickets fraudulently, or use stolen payment details;
- copy, forge or tamper with tickets or QR codes;
- harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone, or post content that is unlawful, hateful or infringes others' rights;
- send spam, or use other people's personal data without the right to;
- interfere with or disrupt Leviticks, get around our security or limits, or access it with bots or scrapers without our permission.
Your content
You keep ownership of the content you add, such as event details, images and descriptions. You give Leviticks permission to host, display and share it to run and promote your events and the platform, including on event pages, in search and on social media. You confirm you have the right to use everything you upload.
The Leviticks name, logo, website and apps belong to us, and you may not use them without our permission.
Suspension and closing accounts
- We may remove events or content, or suspend or close accounts, that break these terms or the law, or that put users at risk. A hidden event stops appearing and selling; tickets already sold stay valid unless the event is cancelled.
- Where it is safe and lawful to, we will tell you why.
- You can stop using Leviticks at any time, and ask us to close your account at support@leviticks.com. Organizers remain responsible for events they have sold tickets to.
Our responsibility to you
- We work to keep Leviticks available and accurate, but we provide it as it is and cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
- Leviticks is not responsible for events themselves, or for what organizers, attendees or other users do. Disputes about an event are between the attendee and the organizer, although we may help where we can.
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid Leviticks in connection with it.
- Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If you have a problem, please contact us first at support@leviticks.com so we can try to resolve it. Disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be handled by the courts of Nigeria.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Leviticks changes. We will change the date at the top when we do, and tell you by email or in the app before significant changes take effect. If you keep using Leviticks after they take effect, the updated terms apply.
